Maria Beggs profile: Marty Leonard

The Leonard family name is synonymous in Fort Worth for making it a healthier and safer place to live by serving, giving and by being intentional about their philanthropy.   We asked former Baylor Scott & White All Saints Board Member, Marty Leonard, to tell us why she supports Baylor All Saints in her estate plans.  Marty says, “I believe in All Saints’ mission of serving all people through excellent health care and education and want to continue to lend support after I am gone.”

An avid golfer for more than 50 years, Marty was inducted in the LPGA Golf Hall of Fame in 2011.  Marty loves animals too, especially the four-legged kind – dogs.  The city of Fort Worth is another love of Marty’s.  One of her favorite things about the Fort is that it has “all the big city amenities with a small (western) town atmosphere.”  Marty spends time on serving on several nonprofit boards in our community including Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation.  One piece of advice that Marty has always taken to heart is, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Marty’s legacy gift qualified her for membership in the Maria Beggs Society ensuring that her wishes will be taken cared of after she is gone.  Through her actions, the Leonard family will continue to make a difference and leave a lasting legacy for our Fort Worth community. Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation is grateful to Marty Leonard and for her passion for excellent health care in our community.  We are proud that we are an organization that helps people that are helping people through health care.  And we recognize that all of that work is possible because of loyal supporters like Marty.
