Andrews Women’s Hospital (AWH), the only hospital in Fort Worth designed specifically for providing comprehensive women’s healthcare, recently reached a historic milestone—welcoming its 100,000th baby into the world. This extraordinary achievement highlights the hospital’s commitment to excellence in maternal and newborn care and its longstanding impact on families in the community.
To commemorate the historic 100,000th birth, the proud parents of Scottie Mae were presented with a special gift package, including a stuffed bear with personalized scrubs touting the commemorative logo and other related goodies.
Reaching this milestone is not just about the numbers—it is a testament to the trust and confidence that families place in AWH. As medical advancements continue, the hospital remains dedicated to enhancing its maternity services, expanding access to care, and improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Baylor Scott & White Health recently reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and transformation by introducing the first of its kind virtual Maternity Care program and the launch of TeamBirth.

Founded with the mission of providing women’s healthcare for the lifespan, Andrews Women’s Hospital was the first hospital in Tarrant County to be designated as a Level IV maternal care center, the highest possible by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The hospital ensures that every mother receives the highest quality care throughout her birthing journey and is on track to deliver 7,000 babies this year.
The facility is equipped with advanced labor and delivery suites, a 52-bed Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and maternal-fetal medicine specialists for high-risk pregnancies. The hospital’s patient-centered approach includes birthing classes, lactation consultants, and postpartum wellness programs designed to support mothers every step of the way.

One of the key factors that makes Andrews Women’s Hospital truly special is the generosity of donors who have contributed to the hospital’s growth and advancements over the years. From the initial concept of a hospital designed with women in mind, to continued renovations and expansions, philanthropic support has played a crucial role in shaping AWH into a premier destination for maternal care.
As Andrews Women’s Hospital celebrates this incredible milestone, it remains steadfast in its mission to provide top-quality maternal care while acknowledging the generosity of donors who have made its success possible.
In addition to the milestone number of deliveries, AWH has also recently been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” in Tarrant County by DFWChild Magazine.
