As COVID-19 creates unforeseen challenges to our communities and our colleagues, we want to help alleviate some of the financial hardships our employees face. The Employees 1st Emergency Assistance Fund is available to address the unique hardships and risks posed to our frontline caregivers who are taking care of our COVID-19 positive patients or persons under investigation (PUIs) in BSWH facilities and the indirect risks that then come to their families.
Over the past few months, we have received overwhelming support from community members such as you, our senior leaders, and health system employees. Funding from the Employees 1st Emergency Assistance fund has awarded more than $2,400,000 to over 1,800 employees in need.
Because of you, we are able to provide immediate relief to our colleagues who have been directly impacted or may be incurring unexpected costs associated with COVID-19. Here are just of few of their stories:
