Named after a resilient, three-time breast cancer survivor, the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center guides individuals with any cancer diagnosis, regardless of where they are receiving their medical care, from the point of diagnosis into survivorship. Fully funded by philanthropic individuals, corporations and foundation, all non-medical programming provided by the center is provided free to all individuals and their loved ones. Since the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center opened twelve years ago, over 12,000 people have received non-medical support services through the center.
Beyond the Bag is the annual fundraising event, hosted by the Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation, to raise funds for the critical non-medical cancer support services provided by the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center. The celebratory evening is filled with dinner, live entertainment, and high caliber auction items, in both the silent and live auctions. Over the past twelve years, Beyond the Bag has raised a total of $2.9 million to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone!
The 12th Annual Beyond the Bag will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Join us at 7:00 p.m. for one of Fort Worth’s anticipated “comeback” party of the year!
The Champions Club at Amon G. Carter Stadium on the TCU campus.
Proceeds from Beyond the Bag will directly support navigation services at the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center. This year proceeds will support the addition of a new facility dog to the Center. Proven to reduce stress, motivate and inspire patients, the unconditional love and attention a facility dog will enhance the continuum of support services to individuals diagnosed with cancer. Event sponsorships, ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, donations, and auction proceeds will make a direct impact on the health of individuals and families in our community.
