Heart disease affects 82 million Americans. For more than a half a century, Baylor Scott & White All Saints has delivered advanced heart and vascular care right here in North Texas. Our commitment to bringing advanced heart and vascular services to Fort Worth and Tarrant County is embodied in the center operated by Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital on the sixth floor of Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth. Thanks to a historic collaboration between Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital and Baylor Scott & White – Fort Worth, Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Services at Fort Worth is providing expanded cardiac services and greater access for patients to research studies and clinical trials.
Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth is the only hospital in Tarrant County to perform left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implants since the initial certification in May 2021 and recertification in May 2024.
Designed to replace the functioning of a failing heart either partially or completely, a ventricular assist device assists with the blood circulation from your heart to other areas of your body. Through the placement of an LVAD, patients can maintain a normal lifestyle while living with heart failure or awaiting a heart transplant. All Saints is prepared to handle a full spectrum of heart issues, including advanced heart failure, medication management, inpatient and OR services, outpatient heart failure and VAD clinic, as well as patient and community education.
